Abberior STEDYCON

20210318_103911.jpg

NEW!!

This super-resolution system features a compact Nanoscope, STEDYCON, capable of achieving lateral STED resolution of <40nm, depending on dyes used. Mounted on an inverted Leica DMI6000B microscope, STEDYCON upgrades this to both confocal microscope with four channels (405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm) and multicolor STED (775nm depletion) system! Patent protected QUAD-beam scanning technology, coupled with quasi-simultaneous line-interleaved scanning, allows fast acquisition speeds of up to 1.1 frames/s @ 512x512 pixels (line frequency up to 800Hz also between STED and confocal).

Capabilities:

  • Inverted configuration

  • Motorized XY scanning stage

  • Software controlled z-focusing piezo-drive

  • Avalanche photo detectors (APDs) have a superior quantum efficiency of up to 69% (@ 650nm) in the red fluorescence regime, and are able to collect plenty of photons for a meaningful image even when signal-levels are low.

  • Detection: 500-550nm; 580-630nm; 650-700nm; line multiplexed into four channels

  • QUAD beam scanner: FOV of 90µm x 80µm (with a 100x objective)

  • Pinhole: motorized pinhole with 12 different pinhole sizes

  • Easy-STED geometry: all laser lines aligned by design; maintenance free optical beam path

Illumination:

X-Cite LED Illumination System – For quick visual assessment of fluorescent staining.

Excitation laser lines: 405nm(cw), 488nm, 561nm, 640nm (all pulsed)

STED laser: 775nm (pulsed)

Filter cubes: FITC/GFP, TRITC/RFP, VBG

Objective validated for STEDYCON: HCX PL APO 100x/1.40-0.70 OIL

Software: Browser-based control software with simple definition of z-stacks, acquisition queues, time series, and auto-save function

Active vibration isolation platform - Tested for STEDYCON.

Zeiss LSM 880 with Airyscan FAST

20190614_143922.jpg

Zeiss Axio Observer 7 equipped with LSM 880 scan head and Airyscan FAST module. With Airyscan you will be increasing the resolution of your imaging far beyond that of a classic confocal point scanning microscope. You can resolve 140 nm laterally and 400 nm axially, at 488 nm – without sacrificing sensitivity.

LSM 880 with Airyscan delivers up to 27 fps at 480x480 pixels in Fast mode, thus giving high acquisition speed, sensitivity and superresolution that you need to answer your scientific questions.
